Discover the infinite pathways to natural healing.

Andrew Taylor Still (A. T. Still) was the founder of osteopathic medicine. His work focused on the body's interconnectedness and the importance of manual therapy to restore the body's natural healing abilities.

Our Philosophy

Where Stillness Meets Boundless Healing

A calm, caring practice where your wellbeing comes first.

Apeiron, meaning "infinite" or "boundless," reflects my belief in the body's natural ability to thrive and find balance. I founded Apeiron Osteopathy to offer a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Rooted in classical osteopathy — a practice founded by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still in the 1800s — my work honours the body's interconnectedness and its innate ability to self-regulate. Dr. Still believed that true health arises when the body's structure and function are aligned and in balance — a philosophy that continues to guide everything I do.

Each appointment is personalized with care, tailored to help you move with greater ease, feel more connected, and live in better balance.

Manual Osteopathic Practitioner · CAO Graduate · OSTCAN Member

I'm passionate about helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.

I believe true balance happens when we work with the body as a whole — and that's exactly how I approach my care. Growing up, I personally experienced the supportive effects of osteopathic care, which shaped my understanding of how meaningful gentle, whole-body support can be. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in manual osteopathy.

I earned my Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, where I built a strong foundation in biomechanics and human performance. I later completed a four-year, 4,200-hour program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy — a Type 1 program and the highest international standard recognized by the World Health Organization.

I'm known for my calm, compassionate and gentle presence. I give my full attention to each client and work closely with them to create personalized sessions that go beyond symptoms — focusing on whole-body balance, function and long-term wellbeing.

Outside the Practice

When I'm not in the clinic, you'll find me in nature, staying active, and slowing down with the people and activities that help me feel grounded. Movement, mindfulness and balance are what matter most to me.

Education

What is Manual Osteopathy?

Manual osteopathy is a holistic, hands-on wellness approach that considers the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. It's founded on the principle that the body's structures — skin, muscles, organs and bones — and how they all move and work together are deeply interconnected. When the body moves and functions with ease, it has a natural capacity to find balance.

Classical Osteopathy, in particular, emphasizes that structure underlies function. According to classical osteopathic theory, every tissue benefits from proper nerve supply, blood flow and lymphatic drainage. When motion becomes restricted, it may influence the flow of fluids and signals — contributing to broader patterns of tension and restriction over time.

Practitioners use gentle, hands-on techniques to work with fascia, muscles, organs and ligaments — supporting the body's natural alignment rather than forcing it. This approach allows the body to integrate the work, helping changes feel more settled and longer-lasting.

Principles of Osteopathy

1. The body is a unit

2. Structure and function are interrelated

3. The body has the capacity for self-regulation

4. Care honours these principles

What to Expect

Why Choose Manual Osteopathy?

Manual osteopathy is a gentle, non-invasive wellness approach grounded in a simple but powerful philosophy: we work with people, not just symptoms. Rather than focusing on a single complaint, we consider the bigger picture — how different parts of the body might be connected. In osteopathic philosophy, tension in the neck might be linked to restriction in the lower back, which in turn could be connected to an old ankle pattern.

By exploring your history, listening to your concerns and carefully assessing how your body is moving — including soft tissues, joints, bones and organs — we create a personalized session plan that supports your body's natural sense of balance. Sessions usually focus on areas that have become more restricted; when things move with greater ease, they tend to feel and function differently too.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few of the most common questions clients ask before booking their first session.

  • How often you visit depends on your personal goals, what comes up during your assessment, and how your body responds. In the early stages, more frequent sessions are often helpful to support meaningful change.

As your body begins to respond and adapt, sessions are typically spaced out further. These periodic visits can help maintain mobility, ease and overall wellbeing.

You don't need to be experiencing tension to benefit from manual osteopathy.

  • Yes — many people find manual osteopathy supportive during periods of heightened tension. If you're experiencing sudden tension, restricted movement or discomfort, feel free to reach out.

  • Sessions are generally gentle and not meant to be painful. When working on areas that are already sensitive, you might feel some discomfort. I'll check in regularly to make sure you're as comfortable as possible.

It's common to notice some changes in your body for a day or two after — a sense of relief, increased mobility, or sometimes mild soreness or fatigue. These responses usually settle within 1–3 days.

  • Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You'll remain fully clothed throughout the entire appointment. You may be asked to remove items like shoes, glasses or a belt. You're always in control of your session.

  • No referral is required to book a session at Apeiron Osteopathy. Some insurance plans may require one for reimbursement — check with your insurance provider.

  • Manual osteopathy is a private wellness service, which means it isn't covered by provincial health plans. However, it's often included in extended health care benefits through providers like Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life and Green Shield. At Apeiron Osteopathy, we direct bill to most major extended health benefit plans.

  • Both are hands-on approaches, but they differ in philosophy, technique and regulation. Chiropractors are regulated healthcare professionals whose scope is defined by Alberta legislation; they often focus on spinal adjustments and may use higher-velocity techniques.

Manual Osteopathic Practitioners are wellness providers who use a broader range of gentle, hands-on techniques to work with the whole body — fascia, muscles, joints, organs and ligaments. Sessions tend to be slower and longer, with no cracking or popping. Many patients choose manual osteopathy as a gentle alternative to traditional adjustments.

  • Massage therapy primarily focuses on the soft tissues — muscles and fascia — using techniques like effleurage, kneading and trigger-point work to ease muscular tension and support relaxation.

Manual osteopathy is a broader, whole-body approach that also considers joints, organs, ligaments and the relationships between body systems. While there's some overlap in technique, a manual osteopathic session typically includes assessment of movement patterns and treats the body as an interconnected unit, rather than focusing on a single muscle group.
